Who Are We?
The Mississippi Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association is a non-profit, statewide trade association representing the petroleum and food industries. Our membership represents approximately 200 retail members operating over 1,000 convenience stores. These members employ more than 10,000 Mississippians. Membership includes gasoline & diesel distributors, convenience store owners & operators, suppliers, major oil companies, and suppliers of equipment and industry related services.
MPMCSA neighborhood businesses are close to the families they serve, furnishing them with the necessary commodities of food and gasoline on a weekly basis. Members of the association fuel Mississippi's economy by supplying petroleum products to our armed forces, municipalities, mass transit and thousands of farmers and businesses across Mississippi. Membership also includes over 160 associate member companies who supply goods and services to the industry.
Today, MPMCSA seeks to enhance its members' place in the free enterprise system by providing a full range of programs, educational opportunities, publication supplies and services to help them in the day-to-day operation of their businesses. MPMCSA also represents members' interests on industry issues when the state legislature convenes, and throughout the year, MPMCSA maintains lines of communication with officials of the many state and federal agencies that regulate the petroleum marketing industry.
Guided by a 29-member Board of Directors, elected from the membership at large, MPMCSA is located in Jackson, Mississippi, where a full-time staff implements board policy.
Changing with the times, MPMCSA continues to develop new programs for members while meeting the many challenges of Petroleum marketing, all in an effort to ensure the viability of the independent petroleum industry in Mississippi.
